THE EFAMILYVAULT STORY

ImagingOptions Inc., an “image repository” company founded in 2005, is the parent company of eFamilyVault. Already experienced in secure image repository of records and film for businesses, Imaging Options developed eFamilyVault to provide an easy online inventory solution for consumers who experience loss due to theft or disaster.

Hurricane Katrina was a milestone event in 2005. Along with this unforgettable event came a surge of media focused on how to be better prepared during the aftermath of a natural disaster or theft. All four founders of eFamilyVault live in Southern California, one of the flagship states for natural disasters such as earthquakes, fires, and floods. For them, the concept became even more real, and eFamilyVault became a real solution.

Different from other inventory solutions, eFamilyVault is portable, utilizing technology to upload and store images of personal and household possessions. eFamilyVault also offers a lower-cost, do-it-yourself approach to maintaining a household inventory. eFamilyVault’s innovation provides the consumer control over what is included, updated, and maintained in their household inventory storage.

EFAMILYVAULT PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

eFamilyVault provides an off-site, accessible, secure repository of information about your home and possessions, including:
  • Insurance company names, contact numbers, and policy numbers;
  • An itemized record of the contents of your home;
  • Photos of the contents and possessions within your home;
  • Appraisals of specific items, with the appraiser's name, address and date of appraisal; and
  • Serial numbers of "Theft Prone" items so that they can be identified more easily if stolen.
  • In addition, if you include photographs or video of each room and the contents of cabinets and closets, you can quickly determine what is missing or has been destroyed. Such records can also provide proof of ownership for recovery or for insurance claims.
Filling out the eFamilyVault home inventory will provide a valuable record in the event of any sort of life change or property loss. The inventory can assist with:
  • Reporting of property and casualty claims
  • Police reports due to theft
  • Estate planning
  • Planning during a large move
